WHO WE ARE ?
Atelier 233, founded in Toronto in 2024 as the artistic collective of Dodo Art Design Inc., specializes in monumental sculpture and design, 3D animation, set and prop fabrication, landscape design, and painting. With a strong academic foundation, the collective combines artistic vision with technical expertise, ensuring that creativity and precision coexist seamlessly. By employing advanced technologies such as 3D printing and scanning, Atelier 233 bridges classical sculptural practices with innovative, contemporary approaches. Through this interdisciplinary method, the collective has established itself as a dynamic hub for producing large-scale projects, unique artworks, and creative solutions for both the public and private sectors.
ATELIER 233
SELIN ALTINAY
Based in Toronto, Selin Altınay joined Atelier 233 in 2024 as Lead Artist, where she creates custom sculptures, commissioned artworks, digital concepts, prototypes, and 3D printed works for private, commercial, and cultural clients.
A multidisciplinary sculptor and fabricator, she combines classical fine arts training with contemporary digital production skills.
She is an honors graduate of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture, and a graduate of Centennial College’s 3D Animation program. Her background also includes studies in Textile and Fashion Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, contributing to a refined understanding of form, materials, and craftsmanship.
Her professional experience includes monumental sculpture commissions, museum projects focused on hyperrealistic sculpture, and scenic fabrication for theatre, festivals, and film productions. Working across both fine art and commercial environments, she has developed a reputation for precision, creative problem-solving, and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
She is also a proud member of IATSE Local 873.
BARIŞ DİRENÇ ALTINAY
Based in Toronto, Barış Direnç Altınay continues his practice through Atelier 233, where he works across sculpture, public art, restoration, scenic production, and large-scale fabrication projects.
A sculptor whose practice is shaped through sculpture, public art, hyper-realistic restoration, and scenic production, he combines traditional sculptural knowledge with extensive experience in fabrication and project realization.
He graduated with high honors from the Sculpture Department of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2016.
Throughout his career, he has worked across different scales and disciplines, including monumental sculpture, cultural and public art projects, wax figure restoration and painting, as well as set, prop, and scenic production for theatre. He was part of the opening team of Madame Tussauds Istanbul and later led scenic production processes as Head Realizer at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres.
In 2024, he was a member of the winning design team for the Terry Fox Monument competition organized by the City of Brampton.

DOGUS GUZELKAYA
Based in Toronto, Dogus Guzelkaya continues his sculptural practice through Atelier 233, where he works across sculpture, fabrication, mold-making, casting, and large-scale artistic productions.
A sculptor, fabricator, and multidisciplinary artist, he combines traditional sculptural techniques with extensive experience in film production, stage design, and project management.
After graduating from the Sculpture Department of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts, he developed a diverse professional practice spanning sculpture, painting, scenic production, and design. Theater, art galleries, and film productions have remained central to his career.
Over nearly 14 years of professional experience, he has contributed to projects of varying scales and complexities. For the past five years, he has been a member of IATSE Local 873, taking on artistic responsibilities in numerous film productions while also playing an active role in team leadership and coordination. He has held leadership positions within set decoration departments for major productions, including Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
Alongside his artistic practice, he has maintained strong technical expertise in welding, mold-making, and casting, enabling him to successfully realize complex projects from concept through execution.
In 2022, he founded Dodo Art Design Inc., through which he continues to provide artistic and technical services, particularly within the film industry.
